Sport & MSK Physio Careers

We prefer all our physios to have at least three years of general sport and/or MSK practice experience prior to building any regional expertise. The first five to ten years of clinical practice has a steep learning curve and we offer exceptional guidance and support in helping you through this process.

Have a difficult disorder to manage? Advice, direct support and triage to sports medicine are all within the expertise of our sub-specialty MSK clinicians. Sub-specialists can assist you with treatment direction and offer insights into solving complex problems.  As part of this process, sub-specialty clinicians teach professional development sessions and provide mentoring. 

Access to sports medicine means multidisciplinary education, better diagnostic skills and assisting your patients with correct imaging and injection therapy. Patients can access these services through physiotherapy / sub-specialty physiotherapy depending on the request and complexity of the complaint.

We actively encourage all physios to commit to regular professional development and to identify a special interest(s) for the benefit of the clinician, profession and patient. We ask all generalists to develop or have a special interest area to support our collaborative MSK team. 

As you develop as a clinician, you may decide to specialize your care. We offer mentoring and guidance to help you take those important first steps.

Sub specialty practice has several advantages. It opens the door to more flexible work and significantly higher remuneration. In addition, it offers teaching and publishing opportunities. It also leads to direct collaboration with sports medicine, regional US skills and leadership roles.

We offer a 12 month fellowship program to support sub-specialty MSK development.
