Choosing to become an expert in a specific MSK region holds great value for your patients and your career.
Patients with complex or chronic problems are often searching for a practitioner with high clinical experience, depth of skills and an ability to offer effective rehabilitation. This can include recommending other specialist care, injections or surgical interventions.
Clinicians with high expertise enjoy higher income, flexible work schedules, extended scope work and can collaborate directly with other skilled clinicians including sports medicine. Mentor fellow clinicians, publish your clinical insights and keep refining your skills for the next level of your career. We also offer in-house regional US training taught by radiology and sports medicine.
We currently offer 5 divisions of sub-specialty MSK practice and a mixed sport / conditioning specialty. These divisions were created to reflect patient need.
Sub-specialty clinicians require a level of knowledge, skill and experience that occurs with a commitment to regional practice - similar to surgical orthopedic sub-specialties. Learning rates are much higher, complex disorders are more common and clinical problem solving is at an extended scope compared to standard MSK physiotherapy practice.
Our MSK team offers a comprehensive group of regional experts to encompass all of the patient's MSK needs. These clinicians work alongside general & sport physiotherapy, soft tissue therapy, dietetics and sports medicine.
EVOLUTO Health offers sub-specialty fellowships for physios wanting to pursue our unique sub-specialty credentialing and clinical practice.
Sub-specialty MSK physios have a very deep and broad understanding of their regional interest, have a much higher learning rate for common complaints and disorders and are well networked with other professions in solving complex or persistent disorders.
Sub-specialty work is heavily focused on identifying and solving many MSK complaints - often in a multidisciplinary manner, rather than focusing on a traditional (skills based) practitioner approach.
Access to imaging, medical treatment and specialist support can be a critical component to your patients' success. We offer collaboration and interdisciplinary communication with direct sports medicine referral for sub-specialty physiotherapists.
Expertise, collaboration and innovation is what EVOLUTO Health stands for. We offer a rigorous professional development process that challenges the best therapists and leads to high professional growth.
As your expertise grows, opportunities for teaching in academia or private coursework becomes the next stage of development. Publishing may include academic studies, through to chapters and full text books. Online options can also be explored and are supported by EVOLUTO Health.
Some of our sub-specialty clinicians have reached the pinnacle of clinical work and are ready for clinical lead positions or business ownership. We support our clinicians in pursuing these interests and offer business opportunities in our business expansion division.
We are currently fielding expressions of interest in BC for these roles before offering them across Canada and internationally.
